We know there are leaders and followers. As a personal trainer, it’s vital to your business to be seen as a leader. Your clients must want to follow you so they will reach their goals and be successful. You need them to reach their goals so they will pass along referrals to build your business. But do you have the charisma to pull it off?
Some people are born with charisma. Others have to work at it. The good news for the latter is that you can attain charisma and be a great leader even if you weren’t oozing with charisma at birth.

It seems like the first thing anyone will tell you about being successful is to set goals.
But when you’re running your own fitness business, it can be a challenge to know what type of goals you need to set in order to succeed. Sure, it’d be nice to tell yourself that you’ll make millions in your first year and open up several branches in new locations; after all, small businesses are successful because they dream big!
But these kinds of goals will psychologically set you up for failure, because – at first – they can’t be realistically attained, which will make you feel like an absolute failure. So where should you begin to avoid this pitfall? The key is to think S.M.A.R.T:

I have been obsessed with being a Rock Star for quite a few years now. I am not musically inclined what so ever, but the sex, drugs, and rock and roll slogan gets me pumped up and ready to rock every time.
I am not nearly as reckless as I was in my early twenties and teenage years, but when the opportunity struck to get dressed up like a Rock Star last week for Halloween I jumped all over it.
With boatloads of compliments to stoke my confidence I played the part extremely well. Its not hard for me to get riled up, and well, a little out of control.
I set pretty high standards for myself and so should you. So when I think about being a Rock Star, I think about all the things I could do and have with an excessive amount of cash in my hands. Cars, boats, houses, vacations, toys…

It’s no secret that successful business owners know how to effectively manage their busy schedules. After all, time is money, and if you want to optimize your income and increase your clientele base, you’re going to need the best time management skills in order to run an exceptional business. As part of my personal development series, I’ve gathered three of the most important tips that’ll help you focus on achieving maximum results – without the major stress of jam-packed schedule.
Perhaps the most important tool for effective time management is knowing how to prioritize! This will save you from a lot of overwhelming stress, as many personal trainers spend the majority of their day on tasks that produce little results. For example, do you spend a significant chunk of time cleaning your gym equipment, or organizing office files? If so, then you’re wasting your time! Think about it this way: could you see a CEO of a major company cleaning office windows or filing bills? Of course not. As a business owner, you need to focus on tasks that’ll maximize profits and clientele loyalty, like endorsing health products or overseeing your killer website. If someone else can do your task, outsource it.
Once you prioritize your tasks, you’re going to have some large projects that will seem absolutely impossible to manage. The key here is to Read more…
The Law of Attraction has become a popular subject of books and movies recently. However, the principle has been around forever.
It is very easy to walk around and pretend to be successful. If success is not in your heart, you will be pretending forever. That’s what makes the Law of Attraction a little tricky. Sometimes we have to look within ourselves to see what might be keeping us from reaching our true successful potential.
Success stumbling blocks can be conscious or subconscious. An example of a conscious stumbling block would be a fear of public speaking. That’s easy enough to overcome with practice and preparation. Volunteer to give speeches instead of hoping you are not selected. The act of volunteering will give others the impression that you are confident with public speaking, which will boost your confidence as well!!
But subconscious stumbling blocks are a little more difficult because most times we are not even aware they exist. An example of this would be the client you have who is overweight and just doesn’t seem to have the confidence in themselves to lose weight. It’s almost as though they have accepted what they were told at a young age – “you are fat”. When they hear that, AND accept it, it becomes a part of their being. So, of course they are going to continue to be overweight.

When you’re the only one responsible for every part of your business, you start to think that there’s not enough hours in the day for everything that you need to do!
Believe me, it’s totally normal to feel this way as a business owner – even steel-eyed CEOs have felt overwhelmed at some point in their careers. But you want to make sure that your anxiety isn’t negatively effecting how you run your business. Here’s what to do when you start to feel overwhelmed and need to get your sanity back:
Know How To Prioritize.
If you’re just completing random tasks as they pop up, you’re not using your most important commodity effectively – time. Next time you’re exhausted by a full plate, try this tip: list everything that you need to do, and then rank them from most important to least important. Focus on your more pressing tasks, and then move on. Items at the bottom of the list probably don’t need to be completed.

Keys To Happiness And Health In The Business World
When you’re running your own business, sometimes it can be hard to escape all of the stress that countless workdays can bring. The ambition and motivation that you once felt starting out can quickly disappear when you’re responsible for everything from creating business plans to filing taxes.
