8 Rules I Live My Life By

So who is this Casey Kaldal guy anyways?

Well…

Casey Kaldal

I Love To Party, Dance, Travel, And Drive Fast!

I grew up in British Columbia, Canada. As a teenager, I got mixed up with the wrong crowd and always got myself in trouble.

I took up boxing and kickboxing in my teenage years and learned to kick some a$$. I won some major tournaments and it instilled a great deal of confidence in me.

Surprisingly, boxing got me out of trouble. I am a Taurus, born in May, and can be stubborn as a bull. I am fierce competitor and enjoy outworking anyone and everyone. If you challenge me to a competition, be ready to work harder than you have ever worked.

My first four boxing matches were won out of sheer confidence and brute force. I would brawl with anyone; although I was only 156lbs, the power lifting and strength training I did catapulted me to easy victories.

It wasn’t until I was thrown in the ring with a gigantic man 20lbs heavier ripped to the bone on a huge frame that I started to calm down. My scheduled opponent backed out of a fight with me and I was asked if I would fight someone 3 weight classes above mine.

In boxing, even a few pounds of muscle can be a huge advantage in the ring. With friends and family from all over the province coming in to watch me fight, I had something to prove, so I accepted the fight.

As I walked to the ring listening to Rob Zombie’s “Super Beast” being pumped through the arena speakers, all I could think of was how I was going to beat this giant down. I had this evil sort of glare; I would stare my opponents down and psychologically win the fight before it started. I could shatter their confidence before we even touched gloves.

My coach gave me good advice for fighting such a bigger opponent. Stay on the outside, counter his jab, be quicker, be smarter, don’t brawl…

Well…

I did not listen to a word he said. I charged the guy going head to head, the crowd cheered as it truly was a David vs Goliath match. With a vengeance I clearly caught him off guard and within seconds had him pinned against the ropes with a flurry of punches. I had no concept of pacing or saving energy. I was sprinting in a marathon. I easily won the first round…

…But my Coach was mad as hell and screaming at me!

Clearly, he was looking out for my best interest, but I was not listening. Rule #1 – Take advice from people with more experience than you. The second round completely changed me as a person.

Once again, I came out like a bulldog fighting. I was ready to finish the fight in this round, but I was caught with a stiff left jab (it was more like me running into his fist) and it knocked me down for the first time in my career. Instead of taking a deep breath, calming down and practicing my boxing skills, which were better than his, my ego got in the way…

So I charged back into the ring.

After a series of flurries, he caught me again, this time with a solid right hand, and I was tossed into the ropes. I nearly fell out of the ring. My legs felt like rubber and I somehow managed to get back on my game. This bigger guy, who clearly had an advantage over me, could not keep up with the intensity that I was competing at. It was my 10 blows to his one, but his sheer size and power would jolt me every time he hit me. Just as I was regaining my commanding lead, the crowd started booing and the ref stopped the fight.

My coach had thrown in the towel…

This caused me to lose the fight. That was my first defeat and it hurt. However, I learned a valuable lesson, and in all honesty that is the fight I am most proud of. I became a more elegant boxer after that match. Boxing went from a way to let aggression out to a sport that I could master. It became a game in which I could test my skills of endurance, speed, timing and strength.

The rest of my amateur career I went on to win many more fights and tournaments. I was the provincial champion, and during my 9th fight I was put up the against the rival provincial champion who had over 60 fights. I was the underdog. Taking a wiser approach to this match than my previous defeat, I was crowned champion.

Boxing taught me many great lessons, and today I am better person because of it. Boxing is more of a hobby now, something I do to stay in shape. I enjoy coaching my friends and having fun with it.

But my life evolved from a raging teenager to a starving university student with too much homework.

Growing up I always wanted to be a P.E Teacher or a Nutritionist, but somehow my counselors in school persuaded me that becoming a P.E. Teacher would not be a good choice in the economy back in late 90’s. I would have to work in small towns as a substitute teacher for many years with little pay. This did not sound very appealing.

They convinced me that I should become a Computer Programmer, as that was the growing trend. They baited me with a secure job, high pay, and a 100% guarantee that I would land a job as soon as I graduated. Rule #2 – Don’t take advice from people that don’t have your best interests in mind.

For me, university sucked. Computer programming was hell; I hated it and barely passed my program. I did not go out on weekends, I did not have fun with friends, I did nothing but sit in front of a computer developing code or reading dry computer text books.

As promised, I landed a job at a Big Corporation with benefits, decent pay and the infamous 9-5 grind. Rule #3 – Don’t ever get sucked into the 9-5 grind at a Big Corporation.

Cheers
Corporate life started out good. I had more time off than I did in University and my party life developed. I was really good at my job as I worked hard looking for the next promotion.

I lived the university lifestyle after university. I had money to burn so I partied, drank, and went to concerts and sporting events. I was having a great time and thought I was living the good life. I could not have been more wrong.

Life quickly started to go downhill…

I was getting burned out. I hated my job, the promotions ended, and soon I was required to work more for the same pay. Bills, mortgages, credit card debt and bad investments caught up with me…

I was becoming more depressed every day. I went from being a rock star at work, to someone who could care less. I was ashamed of where I worked and I was trapped in the rat race with no hope of getting out.

At the rock bottom of my career when everything was looking hopeless, I met someone who changed my life. I woke up to the possibility that I could change my career, and that there was hope at the end of this long tunnel.

I was presented with an opportunity to get into the Health and Wellness Industry, which is now a booming sector in the economy.

I made a goal to retire at 30.

As silly as it may seem, I was convinced that I could accomplish it. With a few good ideas, a solid business plan and the advice of someone who was living a life I wanted, my life did a 180-degree turn. Rule #4 – When the right opportunity presents itself, take it.

My passion grew to find a way out of the hole I had dug for myself. I researched the wealthy, I got passionate about building a business that I owned, and I put all my focus and determination into escaping the rat race. Two business concepts called Leverage and Residual Income set me free.

With a little work, a lot of determination, and some guidance in the right direction I was able to create a second stream of passive income that paid me whether I worked or not. I was literally getting paid to sleep and I was pumped! Rule #5 – Create an income that pays you when you sleep.

Everything worked out so well that within a few months I purchased a new sports car and my love for driving fast emerged.

Hitting the highway at 130 MPH puts me in a trance. I love it!

Any day I go over 200km is a good day. My car has such good control, traction and suspension. The tires hug the road and I feel in complete control. In the summer, BC has incredible all night dance parties out in the forests with talented DJs. Because I rarely drink any more, I can drive home at 4:00 AM without worries of other cars and I have the entire road to myself twisting and turning through the mountains.

Going that fast actually calms me, it puts me into a meditative state and I have an awesome stretch of road between my home in Canada and my parent’s house that typically takes 3 hours that I can get down to about an hour and a half. Rule #6 – Get a fast car and drive it hard.

After the purchase of my new toy, life got even better. I kept working on my business and my passive income continued to grow. Within a few short months, I jumped on a plane across the world and spent the next 2 months traveling and adventuring throughout South East Asia.

Thailand and Malaysia have a special place in my heart.

The parties and beaches are so unbelievable in Thailand that I had to go back two years in a row. My first trip in Malaysia was such a fantastic experience that I came up with a business idea called I Get Paid To Party. As you can image, the name stuck.

I am the proud owner of the website and business called I Get Paid To Party!

It was a huge success and I Get Paid To Party was the foundation that inspired me to develop Advice For Personal Trainers.  Rule #7 – Do what you love and the money will follow.

Money now pours into my bank account. I retired at 29 and kicked the old job to the curb. I have traveled the globe extensively and as of May 22nd 2009 I have been on holiday for 9 months. As you read this I am probably somewhere between Nicaragua, Costa Rica or Ecuador.

I don’t have a job, because I don’t need one. I lose count of the countries I have been to because the list is too big!

I am planning to go back to beautiful BC for a party. The greatest festival and spiritual event I have ever been to… 8 years in a row.

I would not miss it for anything. 4 days of 24 hour loud thumping music in an enchanted forest as clean and pure as anywhere on earth with a pristine river running through hundreds of acres of land to play in.

Dream Big, Work Hard, Play Harder

As you can tell, I have big dreams and I go after them. I work hard, play harder, achieve anything that I put my mind to, and I’m here to tell you, “So can you!”

Reading this might give you an impression of someone completely out of control, while I do tend to be a bit reckless (and that might be an understatement) I love life. I practice yoga, I meditate, and I read motivational books that inspire me to be a better person.

I am down to earth, I am in tune with my body, I eat organic food, I’m a vegetarian and I rarely, if ever, drink alcohol at this point in my life.

My calling in life is to teach, motivate and inspire people.

I have created a Free 7-day Business Bootcamp specifically for Personal Trainers to help them achieve the success I have achieved. I highly recommend that you take it and follow my advice throughout it.

The “Personal Trainer’s Secret Weapon” is a masterpiece. It explains in detail how I created the wealth that I have accumulated and gives you a step-by-step blueprint to follow.

Take control of your life today. Be inspired, find great mentors, learn from their mistakes and live life to the fullest. Rule #8 – Take control of your destiny today.
